People Like Us, Stockport or PLUS for short is a social group for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered community. This has been established to give those who want an alternative to 'The Scene' somewhere to go.Workers from LGF in Manchester, Health Education, Police anti-hate crime, the CVS, Mind and Age Concern are giving assistance. In the longer term it is intended that members will run the group and the professionals will continue to be available for information and support.
Meeting are on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Arden Arms, Millgate. See 'Contact Us' for directions.
So far suggestions for activities include keep fit, country walks, meditation and drinking.
